First Dental Visit
We can make your child’s first visit to our office enjoyable and positive. The American Dental Association (ADA) the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend early visits for dental check-ups. Our office recommends that children be seen for their first visit 12-18 months of age. Parents or guardians can accompany their child in the exam room during this early age visit.
If you suspect your child may have cavities, please refrain from using words like: “hurt, drill, shot, needle, pull,” etc. Let us communicate and explain to them the procedures they need. Our goal is to gain your child’s trust and confidence in us and also to help them overcome any apprehension they may have.
A pleasant visit to the dental office promotes the establishment of trust and confidence in your child that will last a lifetime. Our goal is to help all children feel good about visiting the dentist and teach them how to care for their teeth. From our office design to the communication style of our team, our main concern is what is best for your child.
